Whenever you think you just can’t do something because of your handicap or shortcomings, remember this young woman who plays with no fingers. Her accomplishment should be inspirational and give you courage to do what others say is the impossible. It is only impossible if you believe it is impossible.

What can you learn from this young lady? She has been singing in public since at least seven years old. Who knows how long before that. She is not just a talented girl with special gifts, but she is also a very dedicated young lady. Think of what she has to give up in order to pursue her dreams and make others happy by her wonderful voice.
Our skills and talents are given to us to share and to bless others lives. What talent or skill do you have that you are not sharing or blessing others lives? Think of Jackie when you take the lazy way out or choose not to share.

Opportunities are a dime a dozen and some are very risky. Check with the Better Business Bureau before you get too involved with a company to make sure there is nothing negative on file with them.
This is why you need to be wise when looking at a proposed opportunity to make sure that it makes good business sense and is based on sound principles.
Look closely at the people from whom you will be receiving training and commission checks.
For example, one network marketing business has a successful marketing plan and a respected reputation, but some distributorship lines corrupted the system with unethical conduct. It took a whole generation for the company to overcome a reputation it didn’t deserve. You need to know this type of information before you join them. I might be able to help you with this particular situation.
Keep in mind that, because a system works well for me doesn’t mean it will work well for you, nor does it mean that the system is bad or that it doesn’t work.
Talk to people who have succeeded in the type of business opportunity you are looking into or have at least a good understanding of what went wrong with their experience.
In my case, I was new to the Network Marketing Business and I didn’t know what to do. I believed that men would not follow the leadership of a woman so I depended on my very successful male upline.
With my VERY successful Upline taking the leadership role of my business, and because he did not edify me in my own business, he had pretty much taken over my business.
Having no credibility left with my group, a successful business quickly dissipated because I no longer saw it as my responsibility or my business. For several years, I blamed the upline for the downfall of my business until it was my backing out of it as the real problem.
The point of my story is not to blame failure but to help you understand that it wasn’t the plan that was wrong for me, it was how I handled it that was the problem. I didn’t it to myself. I have a lot of stories just like that one to prove that we sometimes blame the opportunity instead of own shortcomings when we fail.
Getting a really good mentor, who understands your goals and work ethics, will help you do much better in running your business and making the opportunity work for you. If the mentor isn’t working out, then fire him/her. If you are the problem, then fire that part of you that is acting up and put a new person in his/her place. You do so by listening to a good mentor, following a budget, and setting goals that can be fulfilled both short-term and long-term.
Get good advice from someone you trust. Just remember that, in the end, it’s you who has to make the decision. Often, we expect the advisor to make the decision for us and then we can blame him/her if something goes wrong. Why do we do that?
Whatever reason you come up with for someone else making the decision for you, it’s time now to start making those decisions for yourself.
If you are not in the “drivers seat” of your own life, then you are living in default. Living in default means you are not proactive and living on somebody else’s whim. Do you want to live in default or would you rather be proactive and in the “driver seat” of life?
Perhaps you are looking for new opportunities because you have not been proactive in how you live your life. A new opportunity breathes in new excitement and a new beginning into an otherwise dull life. But really now, how will that fix your problem?
You will not be in control and proactive with a new opportunity if you are not proactive in how you live your life now. Put yourself in the driver’s seat and start living pro-actively! You will see a huge change in the way you feel and how you look at your way of life, and especially how you view new opportunities.
Then share what you learn with others. Tell them what you did to change and then challenge them to do something as well. And if you don’t mind, share your story with us too. We would enjoy knowing how you’ve changed your life.
Most people focus on “Income” as being the measure of success and the goal of their efforts but in truth, that is backwards.
The word “MONEY” is a noun and not an action word. Therefore, income or money does not come before the work that’s necessary for the reward of income.
Although a basic concept, most business leaders and network marketers focus on the income without teaching the principles that make the income a reality.
For example, you know that it takes “x” amount of work hours each week to obtain an “x” amount of contacts.
You also know that “x” amount of contacts will often translate into an “x” amount of income in an “x” amount of time.
You know these facts because that is what a wise upline or business mentor has taught you. They tell you to follow their guidelines if you want to succeed. Of course you do as told because they know more than you do and have been in business longer than you. It’s the Success Plan so you do it.
There is nothing wrong with these teachings except that the focus is on goal setting and doing specific duties each week in order to make the income YOU want. This is ALL good but it’s putting the cart before the horse! What good is a loaded down cart with no horse to pull it? Let me help you put the horse first.
What I will be talking about in these posts is how to keep the horse in front of the cart so your efforts mean something concrete that actually moves you toward your goals.
We will talk about success principles, how to win friends and influence people to get what you want and what others want also. Without a good understanding of these principles and without knowing how to meet other people’s needs, all the work you do and all the contacts you make will bring little of the rewards you seek because the emphasis is on the wrong things.
The main thing you need to know is that MONEY is NOT the reason you should do any business adventure; it should always be secondary.
If you do not have good ethics in your business dealings, people will see through you very quickly and will NOT work with you. They will put distance between you and them as quickly as possible.
People will also run from you if they feel you are trying to sell them something. People don’t want to be sold, but they do want to buy! Your job is to give them a reason to buy from you and not from somebody else. However, it must be a decision that they make because they want to and not because you pushed them into it.
Don’t push people into joining or buying your program just to get rid of you. You really don’t want them working with you in your business anyway, especially if they have to be pushed into doing something. If they can’t see the value you are offering then find somebody else who can!
What good is 60 people in your business and have little or no volume coming from most of them? What profits do you get from that sort of an organization? What you do want is people who really want what you offer them.
Doing the right things is more important than doing what people tell you to do because they want you to make them money! Many Network Marketing and Online Businesses are made up of these type of people. You want to avoid them. They will give themselves away quickly if you pay attention to what they do more than what they say.
Your success is determined by how well you treat people and if you are willing to do what other people who are poor are not willing to do.
